2018 Annual Report • Police Department • St. Anthony Village, Minnesota

31 | P a g e

Chief Mangseth, Captain Spiess and Officer Lazenberry attended the community conversation
hosted by St. Anthony High School's Dare2BeReal students. Officers participated in round table
discussions with topics ranging from colorism to mass shootings.
Each year, we discover new opportunities and learn from input received from the community.
It’s through this feedback that we develop new perspectives and can modify our programs and
approaches for connecting with all segments of our communities. This is important to us as an
organization, and it is reflected directly in our Department Strategic Plan as “Goal One”. We
recognize that this goal will be ever evolving and require constant internal reflection,
evaluation, and partnerships with members of our community to create successes.
We would like to recognize the contributions, support and partnerships extended to us by
neighborhood organizations, civic groups, the City Council, local business community and
citizens who live, learn, work, and play in St. Anthony. The Police Department is grateful to all
who offered feedback, and we look forward to creating more partnerships and successes as we
move into the future.
