SUSTAINABILITY <br />In 2018, the City was designated as a host site for a MN Green Corps Member. The MN Green <br />Corps Program is an 11-month AmeriCorps program coordinated by the Minnesota Pollution <br />Control Agency. We were fortunate to welcome Minette Saulog for the 2018-2019 program year. <br />This marks the third time St. Anthony has been selected as a host site. <br /> <br />2018 SUSTAINABILITY INITIATIVES <br /> 2018 Rain Barrel Workshop <br /> Annual Spring Clean Up Day: 250 <br />residents visited (5/5/18) <br /> Fix-It-Clinic: 51 attendees brought in 64 <br />items with a fix rate of 78%, diverting 470 <br />lbs of waste <br /> Tech Dump: 4,700 lbs of electronic waste <br />properly recycled (10/27/18) <br /> GreenStep Cities Step 5: The City was <br />recognized in 2017 for achieving Step 5 in <br />the GreenStep Cities program by the MN Pollution Control Agency. In 2018, the City <br />once again achieved this highest level possible in the program, and continues to monitor <br />and track best management practices to maintain Step 5 recognition status.
