City Council Regular Meeting Minutes March 26, 2019 Page 7 Mayor Faust stated that this challenge is a classic example of how everyone can pitch in. He 1 stated that the website even shows you how to properly load the dishwasher. He explained that 2 people can monitor their own water usage by going to the City website and signing up for “My 3 Water Usage.” 4 5 Motion by Mayor Faust, seconded by Councilmember Stille, to approve Resolution 19-027; a 6 Resolution of the City Council of the City of St. Anthony, State of Minnesota, in Support of the 7 “Mayor’s Challenge for Water Conservation.” 8 9 Motion carried 5-0. 10 11 D. GreenCorp Update. 12 13 GreenCorp Member Minette Saulog provided an update of the January – March 2019 GreenCorp 14 activities. Her presentation included CTV Quarterly Update Video, February Bill Clinics, 15 Quarter 2 MN GreenCorps Training, SolSmart Update, Community Solar Garden Update, Data 16 for US Solar’s Big Lake 1 Community Solar Garden, and Upcoming Events. She noted that 17 there are two upcoming workshops on April 25, 2019 on rain barrels and a presentation on home 18 energy that people can register for on-line. She stated that the Spring Clean Up Day is May 4, 19 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. She stated that there will be an organics recycling 20 presentation on May 8, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers. 21 22 Councilmember Stille commended GreenCorp Member Saulog on her solar update and noted the 23 City approved it in 2016 and it has taken longer than expected to get it up and running. He stated 24 that it is a great program. 25 26 VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. 27 28 City Manager Casey reported that the organics recycling is collected weekly by Waste 29 Management at no charge to the City. He noted they had conducted an audit and found there 30 were 2,002 pounds of organics collected so it has been highly used and a highly successful 31 program. He noted road construction season is coming up soon and there will be a link to 32 MNDot’s page for specific information on the City website. He stated the owners of Lowry 33 Grove have submitted a permit for new water service to connect 42 mobile home units to City 34 service. 35 36 Councilmember Jenson reported that on March 14, 2019, he attended the Ramsey County Local 37 League of Government meeting and a legislative priority discussion. 38 39 Councilmember Stille reported he attended the Parks and Planning Commission presentation on 40 March 19, 2019 on the 2019 goals. 41 42 Councilmember Gray stated that he had no report. 43 44 Councilmember Randle reported on March 19, 2019, he attended the joint Parks and Planning 45 Commission and a work session meeting with CTV.
