City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />March 26, 2019 <br />Page 4 <br />1 Councilmember Jenson noted inside this document, there is a section called "small wireless <br />2 aesthetic standards" and asked who drafted this section because it gives a pretty good description <br />3 of what can be controlled. <br />4 <br />5 City Manager Casey stated that section was the culmination of a few sources and noted some of <br />6 it came from the City of Denver because they are a bit ahead of us on this issue. <br />7 <br />8 Councilmember Jenson asked if this would be reasonably enforceable the way this is written. <br />9 <br />10 City Manager Casey stated the City will try to mitigate any issues the best that they can. <br />11 <br />12 Mayor Faust stated he appreciated that City Manager Casey had clarified the term "small <br />13 wireless facility" was in terms of the coverage area of the transmission and not the equipment. <br />14 He stated the City will try to mitigate it the best it can within the confines of the Federal and <br />15 State rulings. <br />16 <br />17 Mayor Faust closed the public hearing at 7:18 p.m. <br />18 <br />19 Motion by Councilmember Stille, seconded by Councilmember Gray, to approve first reading of <br />20 Ordinance No. 2019 -03; an Ordinance to Enact a New Chapter 98 of the Code of Ordinances <br />21 Relating to Small Wireless Facilities, Establishing General Standards, a Permitting Process, <br />22 General Permitting Conditions and Other Requirements. <br />23 <br />24 Motion carried 5 -U. <br />25 <br />26 D. Ordinance 2019 -04; an Ordinance amending Chapter 33 Establishment of Fee Amounts <br />27 to add Small Cell Fees. <br />28 <br />29 Motion by Councilmember Jenson, seconded by Councilmember Randle, to approve first reading <br />30 of Ordinance No. 2019 -04; an Ordinance Amending Sections 33.061 Establishment of Fee <br />31 Amounts. <br />32 <br />33 Motion carried 5 -0. <br />34 <br />35 E.
