ANTHONY 2 <br />CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES 3 <br />APRIL 9, 2019 4 <br />5 <br />CALL TO ORDER. 6 <br />7 <br />Mayor Faust called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. 8 <br />9 <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. 10 <br />11 <br />Mayor Faust invited the Council and audience to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance. 12 <br />13 <br />ROLL CALL. 14 <br />15 <br />Present: Mayor Faust, Councilmembers Gray, Jenson, Randle and Stille. 16 <br />Absent: None 17 <br />Also Present: City Manager Mark Casey, Director of Public Works Jay Hartman, Assistant City 18 <br />Engineer Justin Messner, and Police Chief Jon Mangseth. 19 <br />Guests: Sandy Simon, Eileen Barnick. 20 <br />21 <br />CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING 22 <br />ITEMS. 23 <br />24 <br />I.APPROVAL OF APRIL 9, 2019 CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA. 25 <br />26 <br />Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded by Councilmember Randle, to approve the City 27 <br />Council Meeting Agenda of April 9, 2019. 28 <br />29 <br />Motion carried 5-0. 30 <br />31 <br />II.PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS. 32 <br />33 <br />A.Swearing in of St. Anthony Village Police Officer Michael Milbrandt34 <br />35 <br />Police Chief Mangseth gave a brief description of Officer Michael Milbrandt’s history, military 36 <br />experience and honors and noted that he had started in the City in the volunteer reserve in 2014. Mayor 37 <br />Faust administered the oath of office to Michael Milbrandt. 38 <br />39 <br />There was a round of applause for Officer Milbrandt. 40 <br />41 <br />B.Spirit of St. Anthony Award.42 <br />43 <br />Mayor Faust welcomed Sandy Simon, 2017 Spirit of St. Anthony Award Recipient. 44 <br />45 <br />Ms. Simon stated that she works for the City in the Finance Department and has the honor of bestowing 46 <br />the 2018 Spirit of St. Anthony Award. She explained that the award is based on the cities values which 47 <br />follow the acronym SERVICE – Supportive-Effective -Responsive-Visionary-Innovative-Courteous-48 <br />3
