City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />April 9, 2019 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Exemplary. She announced that the winner of the 2018 Spirit of St. Anthony Award is Paul Van Den 1 <br />Boom. She reviewed some examples of why he is the deserving winner of this award. 2 <br /> 3 <br />Mr. Van Den Boom expressed his appreciation for the award and for the opportunity to work in the 4 <br />Public Works Department for the last 13 years. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Mayor Faust noted that Mr. Van Den Boom was given this award by his peers, not the Council, which 7 <br />makes it even more of an honor. 8 <br /> 9 <br />C. 2019 Susan G. Komen 3 Day Walk 10 <br /> 11 <br />Mayor Faust welcomed Eileen Barnick, Event Production Manager. 12 <br /> 13 <br />Ms. Barnick announced the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk event on August 16-18, 2019. She stated that 14 <br />they would like permission to walk through part of the City for a portion of their walk. She stated that 15 <br />they are switching up their route this year and starting in downtown Minneapolis and would like to pass 16 <br />through St. Anthony on Day 2 on their way to White Bear Lake. She showed the route they would like 17 <br />to use through the City. 18 <br /> 19 <br />Mayor Faust stated that the proposed trail should be an enjoyable walk and they welcome the Susan G. 20 <br />Komen 3 Day Walk to the City. 21 <br /> 22 <br />III. CONSENT AGENDA. 23 <br /> 24 <br />A. Approval of March 26, 2019, City Council meeting minutes; 25 <br />B. Licenses and permits; 26 <br />C. Payment of claims; 27 <br />D. Resolution 19-028; a Resolution Accepting Donations and Grants Received in the 1st 28 <br />Quarter of 2019; 29 <br />E. Resolution 19-029; a Resolution Approving 3.2 Off Sale Malt Liquor License for 30 <br />Holiday Located at 3810 Silver Lake Road. 31 <br /> 32 <br />Motion by Councilmember Randle, seconded by Councilmember Gray, to approve the Consent 33 <br />Agenda items. 34 <br /> 35 <br />Motion carried 5-0. 36 <br /> 37 <br />IV. PUBLIC HEARING – NONE. 38 <br /> 39 <br />V. REPORTS FROM COMMISSION AND STAFF. 40 <br /> 41 <br />A. Resolution 19-030; a Resolution Approving a Request for a 7.7 Foot Variance from the 42 <br />Required 30-Foot Front Yard Setback to allow for an addition to the master bedroom and 43 <br />a front porch, and consider a request for a 10-foot Variance from the required 30-foot 44 <br />Side Yard Setback to allow for an Attached Garage at 3401 Harding Street. 45 <br /> 46 <br />4
