ANTHONY <br />3 CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />4 APRIL 9, 2019 <br />5 <br />6 CALL TO ORDER. <br />7 <br />8 Mayor Faust called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />9 <br />10 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. <br />11 <br />12 Mayor Faust invited the Council and audience to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />13 <br />14 ROLL CALL. <br />15 <br />16 Present: Mayor Faust, Councilmembers Gray, Jenson, Randle and Stille. <br />17 Absent: None <br />18 Also Present: City Manager Mark Casey, Director of Public Works Jay Hartman, Assistant City <br />19 Engineer Justin Messner, and Police Chief Jon Mangseth. <br />20 Guests: Sandy Simon, Eileen Barnick. <br />21 <br />22 CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING <br />23 ITEMS. <br />24 <br />25 I. APPROVAL OF APRIL 9, 2019 CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA. <br />26 <br />27 Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded by Councilmember Randle, to approve the City <br />28 Council Meeting Agenda of April 9, 2019. <br />29 <br />30 Motion carried -0. <br />31 <br />32 II. PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS. <br />33 <br />34 A. Swearing in of St. Anthony Village Police Officer Michael Milbrandt <br />35 <br />36 Police Chief Mangseth gave a brief description of Officer Michael Milbrandt's history, military <br />37 experience and honors and noted that he had started in the City in the volunteer reserve in 2014. Mayor <br />38 Faust administered the oath of office to Michael Milbrandt. <br />39 <br />40 There was a round of applause for Officer Milbrandt. <br />41 <br />42 B. Spirit of St. Anthony Award. <br />43 <br />44 Mayor Faust welcomed Sandy Simon, 2017 Spirit of St. Anthony Award Recipient. <br />45 <br />46 Ms. Simon stated that she works for the City in the Finance Department and has the honor of bestowing <br />47 the 2018 Spirit of St. Anthony Award. She explained that the award is based on the cities values which <br />48 follow the acronym SERVICE — Supportive- Effective - Responsive - Visionary- Innovative - Courteous- <br />
