City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />April 9, 2019 <br />Page 2 <br />1 Exemplary. She announced that the winner of the 2018 Spirit of St. Anthony Award is Paul Van Den <br />2 Boom. She reviewed some examples of why he is the deserving winner of this award. <br />3 <br />4 Mr. Van Den Boom expressed his appreciation for the award and for the opportunity to work in the <br />5 Public Works Department for the last 13 years. <br />6 <br />7 Mayor Faust noted that Mr. Van Den Boom was given this award by his peers, not the Council, which <br />8 makes it even more of an honor. <br />9 <br />10 C. 2019 Susan G. Komen 3 Day Walk <br />11 <br />12 Mayor Faust welcomed Eileen Barnick, Event Production Manager. <br />13 <br />14 Ms. Barnick announced the Susan G. Komen 3 -Day Walk event on August 16 -18, 2019. She stated that <br />15 they would like permission to walk through part of the City for a portion of their walk. She stated that <br />16 they are switching up their route this year and starting in downtown Minneapolis and would like to pass <br />17 through St. Anthony on Day 2 on their way to White Bear Lake. She showed the route they would like <br />18 to use through the City. <br />19 <br />20 Mayor Faust stated that the proposed trail should be an enjoyable walk and they welcome the Susan G. <br />21 Komen 3 Day Walk to the City. <br />22 <br />23 III. CONSENT AGENDA. <br />24 <br />25 A. Approval of March 26, 2019, City Council meeting minutes; <br />26 B. Licenses and permits; <br />27 C. Payment of claims; <br />28 D. Resolution 19 -028; a Resolution Accepting Donations and Grants Received in the 1St <br />29 Quarter of 2019; <br />30 E. Resolution 19 -029; a Resolution Approving 3.2 Off Sale Malt Liquor License for <br />31 Holiday Located at 3810 Silver Lake Road. <br />32 <br />33 Motion by Councilmember Randle, seconded by Councilmember Gray, to approve the Consent <br />34 Agenda items. <br />35 <br />36 Motion carried 5 -0. <br />37 <br />38 IV. PUBLIC HEARING — NONE. <br />39 <br />40 V. REPORTS FROM COMMISSION AND STAFF. <br />41 <br />42 A. Resolution 19 -030; a Resolution Approving a Request for a 7.7 Foot Variance from the <br />43 Required 30 -Foot Front Yard Setback to allow for an addition to the master bedroom and <br />44 a front porch, and consider a request for a 10 -foot Variance from the required 30 -foot <br />45 Side Yard Setback to allow for an Attached Garage at 3401 Harding Street. <br />46 <br />
