MEMORANDUM TO: ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE CITY COUNCIL FROM: JOHNSON CONTROLS, INC. SUBJECT: FACILITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT OPTIONS DATE: FOR APRIL 8m WORK SESSION CC: MICHAEL MORNSON, JAY HARTMAN, ROGER LARSON After the work session on March 18'x', 2008, we were informed the Council has questions which need to be addressed in order to support a Facility Improvement Project. Per out discussions with the City Manager, there are concerns about an alternate bid on the `HVAC and Control Systems Replacement' at City Hall and the annual inflation rate on `Operations and Maintenance Savings'. We have addressed these items below. First and foremost, the HVAC Project in Option C is much more comprehensive than a typical plan and specification project. Secondly, the alternate bid by Alliance is not an apples to apples comparison. There are many items which are included in the Johnson Controls project that produce real long -term value, comfort improvements and substantial savings to the City of St. Anthony.
