City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />July 9, 2019 <br />Page 2 <br />1 Chief Sitarz stated he appreciates what the Red Cross does. Chief Sitarz reviewed a PowerPoint <br />2 describing the services provided by the Red Cross to the City of St. Anthony including assistance <br />3 after a fire, home safety surveys, and the File of Life Program. The Red Cross was utilized twice <br />4 in one day when there were two fires. Contact information was provided. <br />5 <br />6 Councilmember Gray encouraged everyone to donate blood and give it a try. <br />7 <br />8 Councilmember Randle commented on smoke detectors and CO2 detectors and stated in his <br />9 work, he has gone into many homes and found detectors not operational. He encouraged <br />10 everyone to check their detectors. <br />11 <br />12 Mayor Faust would like to have recurring reports from the Red Cross. <br />13 <br />14 Mayor Faust asked Chief Sitarz for an update on the recent fire on Silver Lake Road. Chief <br />15 Sitarz explained the fires at the Equinox and Legacy buildings. In 2018, 107 hours average <br />16 training was provided to the City's firefighters. Chief Sitarz noted residents can sign up for push <br />17 notifications on updates within the City. <br />18 <br />19 Mayor Faust thanked Chief Sitarz and the Fire Department for their service to the City. <br />20 <br />21 III. Resolution 19-057: a Resolution Rejecting all Bids Received for the Industrial Park <br />41 Flood Improvement Project Rebid. <br />42 <br />43 City Engineer Justin Messner reviewed rebids were received for the project on Thursday, June <br />44 20, 2019 and were opened and read aloud. Seven bids were received. The bids were checked for <br />45 mathematical accuracy. A Bid summary was provided for Council review and indicated the low <br />46 bid was submitted by US SiteWork, Inc. Elk River, MN in the amount of $414,754.00 for Bid <br />
