City of St. Anthony <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />City Council Chambers <br />Minutes <br />July 16, 2019 <br />Present: <br />Mayor & Council. Jerry Faust, Mayor; Hal Gray, Councilmember; Randy Stille, Councilmember, Thomas Randle, <br />Councilmember and Jan Jenson, Councilmember. <br />Absent: <br />None <br />Staff: <br />Mark Casey, City Manager <br />Parks and Environmental Commission: <br />Erin Jordahl Redlin and Therese Bellinger <br />Consultants: <br />Steve Grittman, City Planner (NAC) <br />Call to Order: <br />Mayor Faust called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm <br />Pollinator Protection: <br />Erin Jordahl Redlin, Chair, Parks and Environmental Commission presented a draft resolution endorsing pollinator <br />protection and promoting pollinator habitat along with materials from Pollinate Minnesota. By consensus of the <br />Mayor and Council, staff was directed to shorten the resolution. <br />Friends of the Parks: <br />Erin Jordahl Redlin Chair, Parks and Environmental Commission presented information about the Friends of the <br />Parks and their proposal for Silver Point Park. By consensus of the Mayor and Council, staff would support the <br />work of a 20’ x 60’ flowing lawn, 20’ x 40’ garden and rain garden as shown on the aerial presented. <br />LED Signage: <br />Steve Grittman, City Planner presented a memo on updating the City Code to incorporate LED signage. By <br />consensus of the Mayor and Council, staff was directed to present amended language for city council action. <br />Sidewalk/Walk Way/Patio: <br />Steve Grittman, City Planner presented a memo on sidewalks/walkways and patios. By consensus of the mayor <br />and council, staff was directed to present amended language for city council action. <br />Election Signs: <br />Steve Grittman, City Planner presented information on election sign regulations for informational purposes. <br />Land Use Escrow: <br />Mark Casey, City Manager and Steve Grittman, City Planner presented information on land use application fees <br />and escrows. By consensus of the mayor and council, staff was director to present amended fee amount for city <br />council action. <br />Adjourn: <br />The meeting adjourned at 8:28 p.m. <br />Minutes respectfully submitted by Mark Casey, City Manager.
