1 CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br />2 <br />PARKS COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES <br />4 <br />5 April 12, 2004 <br />6 7:00 p.m. <br />7 Conference Room <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 I. CALL TO ORDER. <br />11 Chair Jindra called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and welcomed everyone in attendance. <br />12 <br />13 II. ROLL CALL. <br />14 Present: Chair Carol Jindra, Vice Chair Doug Koehntop, Commissioners <br />15 Daniel Ganley, Julie Gebhardt, Colleen Hallada, and Eva <br />16 Knudson, Erich Young. <br />17 <br />18 Absent: Representative from Sports Boosters George Zurbey. <br />19 <br />20 Also Present: Public Works Director Jay Hartman; City Council Member Randy <br />21 Stille; Representative from the School Board Denise Dunn; and <br />22 URS Representative, Rich Koechlien. <br />23 <br />24 Chair Jindra stated that the Parks Commission and the City Council held their annual joint meeting prior <br />to the regular Parks Commission meeting. She explained that the intent of the meeting is to provide <br />26 updates on what is going on in the Village in addition to sharing information regarding the parks. <br />27 <br />28 III. APPROVAL MARCH 8, 2004 PARKS COMMISSION MINUTES. <br />29 <br />30 Motion by Vice Chair Koehntop, second by Commissioner Hallada, to approve the March 8, 2004 Parks <br />31 Commission Meeting Minutes as presented. <br />32 <br />33 Motion carried unanimously <br />34 <br />35 IV. PARKS UPDATE <br />36 <br />37 A. Update from Committee on Upcoming Central Park Grand Opening. <br />38 <br />39 Chair Jindra stated that the Commission has been in discussion regarding the grand opening of Central <br />40 Park. She indicated that they have tentatively decided on Tuesday June 9, 2004. She stated that a sub- <br />41 committee has been formed and has been meeting to discuss the plans for the Grand Opening. She <br />42 stated that residents are welcome to attend and encouraged anyone interested to join in on the planning <br />43 to attend the meetings. <br />44 <br />45 Vice Chair Koehntop noted that the high school is planning a trip for the students and asked if the trip <br />d A was scheduled during that timeframe. Ms. Dunn confirmed that it was close to the same date that is <br />being considered for the Grand Opening. <br />48 <br />
