1 CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br />2 <br />3 PARKS COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES <br />4 <br />5 June 14, 2004 <br />6 7:00 p.m. <br />7 Conference Room <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 I. CALL TO ORDER. <br />11 Chair Jindra called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and welcomed everyone in attendance. <br />12 <br />13 H. ROLL CALL. <br />14 Present: Chair Carol Jindra, Vice Chair Doug Koehntop, Commissioners <br />15 Eva Knudson and Erich Young. <br />16 <br />17 Absent: Commissioners Colleen Hallada, Julie Gebhardt and Daniel <br />18 Ganley <br />19 <br />20 Also Present: Public Works Director Jay Hartman; Representative from the <br />21 School Board Denise Dunn; Representative from Sports Boosters <br />22 George Zurbey. City Council Member, Randy Stille. <br />23 <br />24 III. APPROVAL MAY 10, 2004 PARKS COMMISSION MINUTES. <br />26 Motion by Vice Chair Koehntop, second by Commissioner Young, to approve the May 10, 2004 Parks <br />27 Commission Meeting Minutes as presented. <br />28 <br />29 Motion carried unanimously <br />30 <br />31 IV. PARKS UPDATE <br />32 <br />33 A. URS Update <br />34 <br />35 Chair Jindra stated that Rich Koechlien, URS had contacted her to let her know he would not be <br />36 available for the meeting this evening. She stated that she had met with Mr. Koechlien and another URS <br />37 earlier in the week to review the trees and shrubs that were identified and marked for replacement. She <br />38 indicated that they toured the entire park and verified all of the trees and shrubs marked for replacement. <br />39 She reviewed the areas with the Commission. She stated that she also met with Rose regarding the <br />40 flowers for the Grand Opening noting that she might have a group available and willing to assist with <br />41 the ongoing maintenance of the floral gardens. She noted that Rose has been involved with both <br />42 Autumn Woods and the St. Anthony Beautification project and reviewed her background with the <br />43 Commission. <br />44 <br />45 Vice Chair Koehntop stated that he and group of individuals would be meeting in the parking lot at the <br />1A Park on Thursday evening, June 17, 2004 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to work on getting the park ready <br />for the Grand Opening. He encouraged residents and Commission members to come help beautify the <br />18 park. <br />
