Parks Commission Meeting Minutes April 14, 2003 Page 8 1 2 Mr. Zurbey stated that there were no updates for the Sports Boosters. 3 4 VI. OTHER BUSINESS. 5 6 Council Liaison Sparks suggested that the Commission designate a representative for each month to 7 provide the monthly City Council updates. 8 9 Public Works Director Hartman asked when the Park Commission would be ready to go live on 10 television. Council Liaison Sparks asked if the Commission has done any planning.. Chair Jindra stated 11 that they have had some discussion noting that there are logistical issues that should be addressed. 12 13 Public Works Director Hartman suggested using the bench and not changing anything with the layout. 14 Chair Jindra expressed concerns stating that there was an issue of space. She stated that she does not 15 want anyone from the Commission out in the audience area. She suggested discussing this issue at the 16 joint Council meeting and asked that the schedule be coordinated to discuss the issues. Public Works 17 Director Hartman stated that they could meet in June or July. He noted that the City Council goal 18 setting process had determined the Commission would go live in April 2003. 19 20 Public Works Director Hartman reminded the Commission that the Open House to discuss the location of the fire station is scheduled for next Tuesday, April 22, 2003 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at City Hall. Gt, 23 Chair Jindra stated that the next Commission meeting would be held on Monday, May 12, 2003. She 24 stated that the Commission would meet at the Central Park site at 6:30 p.m. for tours of the park shelters 25 and resume a general meeting at City Hall at 7:30 p.m. 26 27 VII.
