CALL TO ORDER. <br />11 <br />12 Chair Jindra called the meeting to order at 7:50 p.m. and welcomed everyone in attendance. <br />13 <br />14 II. ROLL CALL. <br />15 <br />16 Present: Chair Carol Jindra, Vice Chair Doug Koehntop, Commissioners <br />17 Daniel Ganley, Julie Gebhardt, Colleen Hallada, Jan Jenson, and <br />18 George Wagner. <br />19 <br />20 Absent: Commissioner Daniel Ganley; Community Services <br />21 Representative Diane Skrivseth <br />22 <br />23 Also Present: Public Works Director Jay Hartman; City Council Liaison Amy <br />24 Sparks; City Staff Representative Maurice Anderson; <br />Representative from Sports Boosters George Zurbey; <br />26 Representative from School Board Denise Dunn; and Rich <br />27 Koechlein (URS). <br />28 <br />29 III. APPROVAL April 14, 2003 PARKS COMMISSION MINUTES. <br />30 <br />31 Chair Jindra referenced page 3, line 17, noting that the minutes reflect that she states a completion date <br />32 for mid -September. She clarified that the Commission wants to be sure that the project is completed in <br />33 time for the winter season. <br />34 <br />35 Motion by Commissioner Koehntop, second by Commissioner Hallada, to approve the April 14, 2003 <br />36 Parks Commission Meeting Minutes as amended. <br />37 <br />38 Motion carried unanimously. <br />39 <br />40 IV. REPRESENTATIVES FROM URS <br />41 <br />42 A. Central Park Tour Discussion <br />43 <br />44 Rich Koechlein, URS Representative, stated that they have been working hard and have made good <br />45 progress. He stated that they expect to begin work on the plaza area next week and reviewed the <br />4i timeline with the Commission. <br />A <br />48 Mr. Koechlein stated that it is their expectation to be done with everything in the park, including <br />
