Parks Commission Meeting Minutes <br />May 12, 2003 <br />Page 6 <br />1 first musical of the season and that it is scheduled for May 16 and May 17, 2003. <br />2 <br />3 C. Sports Boosters. <br />4 <br />5 Mr. Zurbey thanked the School Board for getting Wilshire Park completed. He stated that there has <br />6 been further discussion regarding the Stone House. He stated that the closing is very eminent noting <br />7 that they would not be able to close it down, start up again and be as successful. He noted that when <br />8 Roseville closed the Bingo Hall and reopened that it took almost nine months to rebuild its' business. <br />9 He expressed concerns stating that they have been told that they cannot use Silver Point Park for <br />10 baseball and asked for an update. Public Works Director Hartman explained that they have not closed <br />11 Silver Point Park. He explained that when they get in to grade and seed it that the fields should be <br />12 useable. He assured Mr. Zurbey that the fields and park are open to use. Chair Jindra asked when the <br />13 seeding would take place and if there would be any safety issues. Public Works Director Hartman stated <br />14 that the seeding could be done in the next couple weeks depending on rain. He assured the Commission <br />15 that there would not be any safety issues. <br />16 <br />17 VII. OTHER BUSINESS. <br />18 <br />19 Chair Jindra stated that the next Commission meeting would be the second Monday, June 9, 2003 at <br />20 7:00 p.m. She stated that it would be a joint session with City Council. <br />22 VIII.
