CALL TO ORDER BY MAYOR HODSON. <br />10 <br />11 Mayor Hodson called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. and welcomed everyone in attendance. <br />12 <br />13 II. ROLL CALL. <br />14 <br />15 Present: Mayor Hodson, Council Members Jerry Faust, Amy Sparks, Brian <br />16 Theusen; Chair Carol Jindra, Vice Chair Doug Koehntop, <br />17 Commissioners Daniel Ganley, Julie Gebhardt, Colleen Hallada, <br />18 Jan Jenson, and George Wagner. <br />19 <br />20 Absent: Council Member Dick Horst and Community Services <br />21 Representative Diane Skrivseth. <br />22 <br />23 Also Present: Public Works Director Jay Hartman; City Manager Michael <br />24 Mornson; City Staff Representative Maurice Anderson; <br />Representative from Sports Boosters George Zurbey; <br />20 Representative from School Board Denise Dunn; and URS <br />27 Representative, Rich Koechlien. <br />28 <br />29 III. UPDATE ON GOALS AND CITY PROJECTS <br />30 <br />31 Mayor Hodson reviewed the 2003 goals with the Commission noting that the redevelopment of the <br />32 Hatchey property is the highest priority. He stated that a Joint Council/Planning Commission meeting <br />33 was held on June 3, 2003; the TIF Hearing is scheduled for July 22, 2003; Target is in the <br />34 predevelopment process with projected completion in 2005. He stated that the Public Utilities <br />35 Department presented their report to the City on May 13, 2003 and reviewed with the Commission. He <br />36 noted that they are projecting completion of the Public Works building and Fire Station in the April/May <br />37 2004 timeframe. <br />38 <br />39 Mayor Hodson stated that the Stonehouse property is definitely coming down, noting that demolition of <br />40 the building is scheduled for September 15, 2003. He reviewed the report with the Commission. City <br />41 Manager Mornson noted that an auction is scheduled for June 19, 2003. Mayor Hodson stated that a <br />42 few have complained adding that for the most part the City has received overwhelming support. He <br />43 stated that a new bar/restaurant and retail center would be built in its' place noting that everyone would <br />44 win as it would provide increased revenue for the City. He stated that the City would know who the <br />45 approved retailers are by July 15, 2003. <br />46 <br />Commissioner Ganley asked for a status on employees for the Stonehouse Bar and the Liquor Store. <br />48 City Manager Mornson stated that all employees were laid off as of May 30, 2003. <br />
