I CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br />2 PARKS COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES <br />3 NOVEMBER 8, 1999 <br />4 I. CALL TO ORDER. <br />5 The meeting was called to order by Chair Jindra at 7:00 p.m. <br />6 II. ROLL CALL. <br />7 Present: Chair Carol Jindra, Commissioners Doug Koehntop, Paul Louiselle, <br />8 George Wagner, Colleen Hallada, Joanne Kosciolek <br />9 Also Present: Representative from School Board (Kathie Wolff); Representative from <br />10 Sports Boosters (Jan Jensen, arrived 7:30 p.m.); Public Works Director <br />11 (Jay Hartman); City Council Liaison (George Marks). <br />12 Absent: Representative from Community Services (Diana Roadfeldt); <br />13 III. APPROVAL OF OCTOBER 11, 1999 PARKS COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES. <br />14 Motion by Commissioner Wagner, second by Commissioner Kosciolek, to approve the minutes <br />15 of the October 11, 1999 meeting with the following clarifications: <br />16 Page 1, line 29, change "need to be" with "should be" <br />17 Page 2, line 18, after "painted this fall" add "or next spring" <br />18 Page 2, line 27, change "Commission" to "City" <br />19 Page 5, line 28 delete " was 4" and add "were" <br />20 Page 5, line 29, delete "which were" <br />21 Motion carried unanimously. <br />22 Chair Jindra welcomed George Zirby who was in attendance to observe the meeting and is a <br />23 member of the Sports Boosters. <br />24 IV. DISCUSS WATER TOWER PARK. <br />25 A. Punch List Items/Wish List Items. <br />26 Chair Jindra greeted Augie Wong, BRW, Inc. and invited him to speak to the Commission. Mr. <br />27 Wong directed the Commission's attention to a copy of the punch list. Mr. Wong clarified that it <br />28 was his understanding that many of the items remaining on the punch list would be completed in <br />29 the spring. <br />30 Specifically, he mentioned the arches that need to be repainted, and that they could be painted <br />31 either this year or next, depending on the weather remaining this fall. He advised the Commis - <br />32 sion, however, that it was his opinion to wait until spring to paint the arches because additional <br />33 rust would accumulate over the winter months and could be taken care of in the spring at re - <br />34 painting. <br />35 Hallada asked Mr. Wong if a price had been determined for the repainting, or if the contractor <br />36 would repaint the arches under warranty. Mr. Wong replied that he was informed by the con - <br />37 tractor that if the existing colors were used for repainting, there would not be a charge. However, <br />
