I CITY OF ST. ANTHONY 2 PARKS COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES 3 NOVEMBER 8, 1999 4 I. CALL TO ORDER. 5 The meeting was called to order by Chair Jindra at 7:00 p.m. 6 II. ROLL CALL. 7 Present: Chair Carol Jindra, Commissioners Doug Koehntop, Paul Louiselle, 8 George Wagner, Colleen Hallada, Joanne Kosciolek 9 Also Present: Representative from School Board (Kathie Wolff); Representative from 10 Sports Boosters (Jan Jensen, arrived 7:30 p.m.); Public Works Director 11 (Jay Hartman); City Council Liaison (George Marks). 12 Absent: Representative from Community Services (Diana Roadfeldt); 13 III. APPROVAL OF OCTOBER 11, 1999 PARKS COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES. 14 Motion by Commissioner Wagner, second by Commissioner Kosciolek, to approve the minutes 15 of the October 11, 1999 meeting with the following clarifications: 16 Page 1, line 29, change "need to be" with "should be" 17 Page 2, line 18, after "painted this fall" add "or next spring" 18 Page 2, line 27, change "Commission" to "City" 19 Page 5, line 28 delete " was 4" and add "were" 20 Page 5, line 29, delete "which were" 21 Motion carried unanimously. 22 Chair Jindra welcomed George Zirby who was in attendance to observe the meeting and is a 23 member of the Sports Boosters. 24 IV. DISCUSS WATER TOWER PARK. 25 A. Punch List Items/Wish List Items. 26 Chair Jindra greeted Augie Wong, BRW, Inc. and invited him to speak to the Commission. Mr. 27 Wong directed the Commission's attention to a copy of the punch list. Mr. Wong clarified that it 28 was his understanding that many of the items remaining on the punch list would be completed in 29 the spring. 30 Specifically, he mentioned the arches that need to be repainted, and that they could be painted 31 either this year or next, depending on the weather remaining this fall. He advised the Commis - 32 sion, however, that it was his opinion to wait until spring to paint the arches because additional 33 rust would accumulate over the winter months and could be taken care of in the spring at re - 34 painting. 35 Hallada asked Mr. Wong if a price had been determined for the repainting, or if the contractor 36 would repaint the arches under warranty. Mr. Wong replied that he was informed by the con - 37 tractor that if the existing colors were used for repainting, there would not be a charge. However,
