REVIEW WATER TOWER PARK PROGRESS TO DATE.
31 Jindra noted that Augie Wong had confirmed that a July 19, 1999 deadline will be met. Hartman
32 added the deadline will be met if weather permits. Wolff asked whether a construction update
33 could be provided for the Commission's information. Hartman agreed to provide such an update,
34 or obtain it from Augie Wong.
35
36 Jindra presented a depiction of the proposed playground equipment, noting the majority of the
37 equipment is intended for use by children ages 6-12 with smaller areas for younger children. She
38 noted special activity panels had been added to make the area more unique. She added the color
39 scheme, originally intended to be tan and green, now includes some red as a max fitness unit had
40 a built-in red slide.
41
42 Jindra stated the equipment should be installed by the Commission's next meeting on July 12.
43 She reiterated the play area will be challenging to the targeted age group but also includes items
44 to accommodate tots.
45
16 Roadfeldt stated the plan seems to have fewer slides than agreed upon by the Commission.
47 Jindra stated the angle of the depiction was deceptive and some of the slides were not visible.
48
