CALL TO ORDER. <br />8 The meeting was called to order by Chair Jindra at 7:10 PM. <br />9 <br />10 II. ROLL CALL. <br />11 Present: Jindra, Koehntop, Kosciolek, Louiselle, Siggelkow, Monis, Roadfeldt, <br />12 and Wolff, Wagner, Jensen, Hartman <br />13 <br />14 Also present: Peter Willenbring, WSB & Associates, Inc. <br />15 <br />16 Absent: None. <br />17 <br />18 III. APPROVE SEPTEMBER 14, 1998 PARKS COMMISSION MINUTES. <br />19 Motion by Siggelkow, second by Koehntop to approve the September 14, 1998 Parks <br />20 Commission minutes as submitted. <br />21 <br />'r Motion carried unanimously. <br />24 IV. DESIGNATE PARKS COMMISSIONER TO OCTOBER 13TH CITY COUNCIL <br />25 AND OCTOBER 20, 1998 PLANNING COMMISSION MEETINGS. <br />26 Jindra suggested all Parks Commissioners attend the October 13 public hearing on <br />27 redevelopments to Silver Point and Central Parks. Louiselle consented to attend the <br />28 Planning Commission meeting on October 20, 1998. <br />29 <br />30 V. REVIEW SILVER POINT PARK WITH WSB. <br />31 Jindra introduced Peter Willenbring from WSB & Associates. Mr. Willenbring <br />32 explained the bid process and alternate tabulation for Silver Point Park. Mr. <br />33 Willenbring stated that a savings of $200,000 could result from stockpiling the material <br />34 from Silver Point Park at Central Park. However, Willenbring stated that he would not <br />35 recommend stockpiling the material at Central Park due to the impact it would have on <br />36 the parking lot. There would also be costs related to replacing the parking lot. <br />37 Willenbring noted that material needed for Central Park improvements could be trucked <br />38 in from the Harding improvement project. <br />39 <br />40 Mr. Willenbring recommended Knutson, Inc. for the Silver Point project. There is a <br />41 budget of $40,000 set aside for the replacement of playground equipment at Silver <br />42 Point Park. It will be the responsibility of the parks Commission to determine what <br />43 type of equipment should be purchased. Wolff suggested the Commission look at sub- <br />committees to select replacement equipment. <br />45 <br />
