I CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br />2 PARKS COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES <br />APRIL 10, 2000 <br />4 6:30 p.m. Silver Point Park <br />5 7:00 p.m. Conference Room <br />6 I. CALL TO ORDER. <br />7 Chair Jindra called the meeting to order at 7:17 p.m. and welcomed everyone to the meeting. <br />8 She wished to note for the record that the Commission, Todd Hubmer (WSB & Associates) and <br />9 Bob Kost (BRW, Inc.) met at Silver Point Park at 6:30 p.m. to review items that need to be <br />10 completed. <br />11 II. ROLL CALL. <br />12 Present: Chair Carol Jindra, Vice Chair Doug Koehntop, Commissioners George <br />13 Wagner, Julie Gebhardt, Colleen Hallada, Daniel Ganley, and Jan Jensen. <br />14 Also Present: Representative from School Board (Denise Dunn); Representative from <br />15 Sports Boosters (George Zurbey); Representative from Community <br />16 Services (Diana Roadfeldt), Public Works Director (Jay Hartman). <br />17 Absent: <br />City Council Liaison (Brian Thuesen). <br />III. APPROVAL OF MARCH 13, 2000 PARKS COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES. <br />19 Motion by Koehntop, second by Wagner, to approve the minutes of the March 13, 2000 Parks <br />20 Commission meeting as presented. <br />21 <br />22 IV. 33RD AND SILVER LAKE ROAD. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />23 Chair Jindra stated that she would like to add this item to the agenda. She believes this area is a <br />24 focal point and would like to discuss options to make it an attractive area for the community. In <br />25 this respect, Ganley presented photographs of another area that had been provided to him by a <br />26 resident. These photographs depicted a pond that is designed for drainage. <br />27 Todd Hubmer of WSB & Associates was in attendance and offered that to have water in that par - <br />28 ticular area would be difficult. Typically, he stated, if a pond is to be considered, a 10:1 drainage <br />29 area should be achieved. <br />30 V. DISCUSS SILVER POINT PARK. <br />31 Chair Jindra asked for Mr. Hubmer to speak about the progress of Silver Point Park. In this re - <br />32 spect, Mr. Hubmer directed the Commission's attention to his letter of April 10, 2000, wherein <br />33 he discussed the remaining construction issues and other related issues in Silver Point Park. . <br />t In short, the issues remaining on the punch list are as follows: <br />J5 1. Sanitary manhole in Silver Point Park needs to be pumped out and sealed; <br />36 2. Pea gravel within the playground area needs to be cleaned and/or replaced; <br />
