CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br />PARKS COMMISSION SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES <br />January 29, 2001 <br />5:30 p.m. <br />I. CALL TO ORDER. <br />Chair Jindra called the special meeting to order at 5:42 p.m. and welcomed everyone in attendance. <br />Due to the poor weather conditions, she indicated the meeting tonight will be in abbreviated form <br />and all Agenda Items may not be addressed. <br />II. ROLL CALL. <br />Present: Chair Carol Jindra, Commissioners Dan Ganley, Julie Gebhardt, <br />Colleen Hallada, and Jan Jensen. <br />Absent: Commissioners Doug Koehntop and George Wagner. <br />Also Present: Public Works Director Jay Hartman, Representative from Community <br />Services Diane Skrivseth (arrived at 6:10 p.m.); Representative from <br />Sports Boosters George Zurbey; and BRW Park Design Bob Kost. <br />III. APPROVAL OF JANUARY 8, 2001 PARKS COMMISSION MINUTES. <br />Motion by Gebhardt, second by Zurbey, to approve the January 8, 2001 Parks Commission Minutes <br />correcting the name "Hubmer" to reflect "Kost " <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />IV. INTRODUCTION OF MAURY ANDERSON. <br />Jindra introduced Maury Anderson and reviewed his professional background and qualifications. <br />V. APPOINT CONSTRUCTION LIAISON FROM PARKS COMMISSION FOR CENTRAL <br />PARK REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT. <br />Andra stated that she would be interested in acting as the liaison from the Parks Commission for <br />the Central Park Redevelopment Project. It was noted that George Wagner has also expressed <br />interest. <br />Consensus was reached to table this issue to the next meeting. <br />VI. PRESENTATION ON PARK BUILDINGS BY MOLLY OLIVIER FROM SHORT, <br />ELLIOT, HENDRICKSON. <br />Jindra advised that they met at a park by Sunnyside School which has progressed nicely and <br />encouraged all to visit this park to see the shelter. <br />Andra reported that it has been discussed to have a main shelter by the wading pool and eliminate <br />the shelter with the concession stand. She stated the subcommittee decided it may make sense to <br />
