Hockey Rink Any proposed hockey rink for Silver Point Park will be a portable system which will need to be removed in the Spring and installed in the Fall by City Crews. Fencing behind the hockey goals in the rink will most likely be provided to protect individuals from errant hockey pucks. Furthermore, Silver Point Park hockey and skating rink areas are accessible to City Staff for plowing and flooding of rinks. V. Emergency and Maintenance Accessibility to the Park Emergency vehicles will have access to Silver Point Park from the parking lot area. In addition, NSP has reviewed the project, and no comments or concerns were issued by NSP regarding access to maintain their utilities. VI. Walking Path The trail being constructed within Silver Point Park will be an eight foot -wide black- top trail. This black -top trail should not be compared to the trail located along Silver Lake Boulevard. The Silver Lake Boulevard pathway was a retrofit installation which has been affected by the existing soils and the presence of tree roots within the pathway. The Silver Point Park trail will not be placed immediately adjacent to fences around Silver Point Park but will meander its way up and down the slopes of the park at mild grades in conformance with Federal Disability and Access Laws. VII. Park Users The baseball fields are designed for children 12 years of age and younger. The playground equipment will accommodate children up to age five. In addition, the basketball court, recreational skating and hockey rink will accommodate all ages. VIII. Personal Items NSP has visited the project site to look at the wooden pole located near your backyard. To date NSP has not given any indication as to what they propose to do with this pole, but we have requested that it be removed if it is not essential to their operations.
