CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br />PARKS COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES <br />June 1.0, 2002, <br />- 7:30 p.m. <br />Conference Room <br />I. CALL TO ORDER. <br />Chair Jindra called the meeting to order at 7:55 p.m. and welcomed everyone in attendance. <br />II. ROLL CALL. <br />Present: Chair Jindra, Vice Chair Doug Koehntop, Commissioners Daniel <br />Ganley, Julie Gebhardt, Colleen Hallada, Jan Jenson, and George <br />Wagner. <br />Absent: Commissioner Dan Ganley. <br />Also Present: Public Works Director Jay Hartman; Representative from <br />Community Services Diane Skrivseth; Representative from the <br />School Board Denise Dunn; Independent Contractor Maury <br />Anderson; Augie Wong, URS. <br />III. APPROVAL of MAY 13, 2002 PARKS COMMISSION MINUTES. <br />Chair Jindra requested the following changes to the minutes of May 13, 2002: <br />Page 2, line 23: base -grading to be changed to "re -seeding and irrigation." <br />Page 3, line 17: delete last sentence. <br />Motion by Vice Chair Koehntop, second by Commissioner Gebhardt, to approve the May 13, <br />2002 Parks Commission Meeting Minutes, as amended above. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />IV. AUGIE WONG WILL BE PRESENT TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING <br />THE CONSTRUCTION OF CENTRAL PARK. <br />Prior to this evening's meeting, the Parks Commission toured Silver Point Park Central Park to <br />observe the on-going project. Todd Hubmer, WSB, was present at Silver Point Park, and <br />provided the Commission with a report on seeding. He stated the T -ball field was currently <br />usable, and would be re -seeded when the other field was available in the fall. <br />Wong indicated that one of the two fields would have the irrigation installed soon, which will <br />allow a lot more activity. <br />Commissioner Hallada asked if the debris on the field would be would be removed. Wong <br />indicated that when the weather improves, the debris would be removed from the field. <br />Wong highlighted a few of the changes that were made this evening while touring the parks: <br />
