CALL TO ORDER. <br />11 Chair Jindra called the meeting to order at 7:04 p.m. and welcomed everyone in attendance. <br />12 <br />13 I1. ROLL CALL. <br />14 Present: Chair Jindra, Vice Chair Doug Koehntop, Commissioners Daniel <br />15 Ganley, Julie Gebhardt, Colleen Hallada, and Jan Jenson. <br />16 <br />17 Absent: Commissioner George Wagner. <br />18 <br />19 Also Present: Public Works Director Jay Hartman; Representative from <br />20 Community Services Diane Skrivseth; Representative from the <br />21 School Board Denise Dunn; Augie Wong, BRW; Independent <br />22 Contractor Maurie Anderson. <br />23 <br />24 III. APPROVAL OF MARCH 11, 2002 PARKS COMMISSION MINUTES. <br />25 Motion by Vice Chair Koehntop, second by Commissioner Hallada, to approve the March 11, <br />26 2002 Parks Commission Meeting Minutes. <br />27 <br />28 Motion carried unanimously. <br />29 <br />30 IV. AUGIE WONG WILL BE PRESENT TO DISCUSS PROGRESS ON CENTRAL PARK <br />31 REDEVELOPMENT. <br />32 Chair Jindra indicated that Augie Wong and Maurie Anderson were present to update the <br />33 Commission on the progress of Central Park, as well as the schedule for the project. She added <br />34 that weather has been a problematic factor thus far. <br />35 <br />36 Wong indicated that he met with the contractors back in March to discuss the coordination of the <br />37 different projects for the park. He indicated that he hopes to have a schedule for the Commission <br />38 in the next six weeks. <br />39 <br />40 Wong indicated that the building portion of the project will take around four months. <br />41 <br />42 Wong indicated that the fiber -optics have slightly delayed things, as they are waiting for <br />43 relocation of them by the school. He stated that, while waiting for the fiber -optics to be moved, <br />44 they have begun some utility work; and mainline water line work. Wong indicated that the delay <br />45 has pushed them back about two weeks. <br />46 <br />47 Commissioner Jenson asked about the role that weather has played in the delay. Wong estimated <br />48 a two to three week delay due to the weather. <br />
