ANTHONY <br />PARKS COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES <br />4 <br />5 July 9, 2001 <br />6 7:00 p.m. <br />7 Conference Room <br />10 I. CALL TO ORDER. <br />11 Chair Jindra called the meeting to order at 7:28 p.m. following a tour of Silver Point Park and <br />12 welcomed everyone in Attendance. <br />13 <br />14 II. ROLL CALL. <br />15 Present: Chair Jindra, Vice Chair Doug Koehntop, Commissioners Colleen <br />16 Hallada, Jan Jenson, and George Wagner. <br />17 <br />18 Absent: Commissioners Daniel Ganley and Julie Gebhardt. <br />Also Present: City Councilmember Randy Hodson; Public Works Director Jay <br />21 Hartman; Representative from Community Services Diane <br />22 Skrivseth; Representative from Sports Boosters George Zurbey; <br />23 Representative from the School Board Denise Dunn (arrived at <br />24 8:18 p.m.); Independent Contractor Maury Anderson; and Molly <br />25 Olivier, SEH. <br />26 <br />27 Chair Jindra reviewed the tour findings and work that will be occurring at Silver Point Park to provide <br />28 better drainage and possibly replace trees. Chair Jindra also advised of the tours of Water Tower Park <br />29 and the Skate Park. She commented on the resident comments received regarding the condition of the <br />30 parks and need to enforce the requirement for protective gear and no smoking at the Skate Park. <br />31 <br />32 III. APPROVAL JUNE 11, 2001 PARKS COMMISSION MINUTES. <br />33 Motion by Commissioner Hallada, second by Vice Chair Koehntop, to approve the June 11, <br />34 2001 Parks Commission Meeting Minutes. <br />35 <br />36 Motion carried unanimously. <br />37 <br />38 IV. PRESENT FINAL DESIGN OF CENTRAL PARK BUILDING STRUCTURE - MOLLY <br />39 OLIVIER WILL BE PRESENT. <br />40 Chair Jindra welcomed Ms. Olivier, who came forward to present the final design for the Central <br />/'' Park building structure with the Commission. <br />43 Molly Olivier, SEH, stated they hope this will be the last park building redesign before the Parks <br />44 Commission.
