CALL TO ORDER. <br />9 The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chair Jindra. <br />10 <br />11 2. ROLL CALL. <br />12 Chair Carol Jindra, Commissioners Dan Ganley, Julie Gebhardt, Colleen Hallada, Doug Koehntop, and <br />13 George Wagner. <br />14 <br />15 Jan Jenson. <br />16 <br />17 Public Works Director Jay Hartman, Representative from Community Services Diane Skrivseth; <br />18 Representative from Sports Boosters George Zurbey; Parks <br />19 Commission Chair Person Maurie Anderson; Molly Olivier from <br />20 SEH. <br />3. APPROVAL MARCH 12, 2001 PARKS COMMISSION MINUTES. <br />23 Page 3, line 1 and line 32 change "Mr. Hubmer" to read "Mr. Anderson". <br />24 Page 4, line 54 change "would be rented out" to read "would continue to be used with <br />25 reservations through community...". <br />26 <br />27 4. PRESENT FINAL DESIGN AND BID ALTERNATES FOR CENTRAL PARK — BOB <br />28 KOST, BRW. <br />29 Mr. Kost was absent. <br />30 <br />31 Chair Jindra indicated that a meeting had taken place between Jay Hartman, herself, Bob Kost, <br />32 and Maurie Anderson, which determined that several bid alternates will be incorporated into the <br />33 bid documents. Chair Jindra explained that the intention of these alternates is to allow the City <br />34 greater flexibility in selecting a low bidder for the park project. <br />35 <br />36 Chair Jindra reviewed the following nine items that were identified as alternates to either be <br />37 added, or deleted: <br />38 1. Irrigation system for Civic Center area. <br />39 2. Sand Volleyball court. <br />40 3. '/2 Basketball court (surface and hoop only, no fence). <br />41 4. Sports lighting of field #4 (deduct alternate). <br />42 5. Bituminous Roller Hockey paving. <br />6. Bare -root deciduous shade trees (deduct alternate). <br />14 7. Wading Pool complete: equipment, pool, fence etc. <br />45 <br />46 Additional clarification and determination of bid alternates was discussed by the URS Project <br />
