Mr. Hartman said the existing pool has been <br />2 extremely problematic, and is no longer repairable. <br />3 <br />4 Chair Jindra continued to be concerned with the accessibility of the restrooms. Ms. Olivier <br />5 stated she <br />6 would explore some other options. <br />7 <br />8 6. APPROVAL OF BUILDING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS -MOLLY OLIVIER, SEH. <br />9 Olivier reviewed the cost of the Silver Point Project with the Commission and indicated that she <br />10 had adjusted the prices to include the changes made prior to tonight's suggestions, and expressed <br />11 concern with pulling any numbers at this point. She stated that the cost for the Silver Point <br />12 Project is still close to $300,000. Ms. Olivier identified the buffer zone of the project, which is <br />13 15% of the total cost, and indicated that it is high. <br />14 <br />15 Commissioner Zurbey questioned the impact that the environmental issues and the pollution in <br />16 the park will have on the current plans. Mr. Hartman said he believed that the timelines for the <br />17 building project and the pollution project would turn out. <br />18 <br />19 Chair Jindra asked if these figures have been given to the City. Mr. Hartman responded that <br />20 they had been presented to the City Council, and the Council had determined that the tentative <br />date for the bids to be considered by the Council is May 8, 2001, and the tentative construction <br />date would be June 15, 2001. <br />23 <br />24 Mr. Hartman indicated that the start date had been moved back because the bids are coming in <br />25 later, as the environmental issues have changed things significantly. <br />26 <br />27 Commissioner Zurbey expressed his concern with the use of the fields for school games and <br />28 playoffs. He said he needed confirmation on dates that the field can be used. Mr. Hartman <br />29 indicated he would work with him on dates. <br />30 <br />31 Ms. Olivier indicated that she has started construction documents, there will be a two-week <br />32 advertising period, and then the bidding will begin. She indicated that Silver Point Park would <br />33 be up and running in October. <br />34 <br />35 Ms. Olivier and the Commission will meet on Wednesday, April 1 Vh, at 2:00 p.m. to tour the <br />36 park and decide on the proposed changes from the meeting tonight. The Commission decided to <br />37 entrust the subcommittee to follow through on the decisions that are made with Ms. Olivier, who <br />38 will then get the project moving. <br />39 <br />40 Mr. Hartman stated that May Is` will be the bid opening, and that the Commission will present <br />41 the bids to the City Council on May 8`h at their Work Session. The Commission decided to meet <br />42 on Thursday, May 3rd at 5:30 p.m. to review the bids before they are presented to the Council. <br />-,-+ 6. REPORTS. <br />45 A.
