CALL TO ORDER. <br />11 Chair Jindra called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and welcomed everyone in attendance. <br />12 <br />13 II. ROLL CALL. <br />14 Present: Chair Carol Jindra, Vice Chair Doug Koehntop, Commissioners <br />15 Daniel Ganley, Colleen Hallada, Erich Young, Julie Gebhardt, and <br />16 Eva Knudson. <br />17 <br />18 Absent: Representative from Community Services. <br />19 <br />20 Also Present: Public Works Director Jay Hartman; City Council Member Randy <br />21 Stille; Representative from Sports Boosters George Zurbey; <br />22 Representative from the School Board Denise Dunn; and URS <br />23 Representative, Rich Koechlien. <br />24 <br />11; 111. APPROVAL FEBRUARY 9, 2004 PARKS COMMISSION MINUTES. <br />27 Mr. Zurbey stated that he has corrections. He referenced page 4, line 18, noting that it should state that <br />28 it was Gary Palm and Troy Urdahl, not Gary Qualm and Roy Erdahl. He stated that the Soccer <br />29 Commissioner also attended the meeting. <br />30 <br />31 Chair Jindra stated that she has a correction, as noted by the Recording Secretary, page 1, Roll Call, <br />32 shows George Ganley as present, it should read Daniel Ganley. <br />33 <br />34 Motion by Vice Chair Koehntop, second by Commissioner Hallada, to approve the February 9, 2004 <br />35 Parks Commission Meeting Minutes as amended. <br />36 <br />37 <br />38 Motion carried unanimously <br />39 IV. PARKS UPDATE <br />40 <br />41 A. Silver Point Park Update <br />42 <br />43 Chair Jindra stated that, prior to the meeting, the Parks Commission toured both Silver Point Park and <br />44 Central Park. She stated that they toured the structures at both parks noting that the warming house has <br />45 been regularly used and appears to be working out very well. She indicated that the warming house <br />46 includes vending machines and bathrooms, which would also be accessible from the outside. She <br />referenced Central Park and explained that the building has been set up as a very useable space for the <br />Community. She reviewed the layout of the building noting the variety of uses including meetings, <br />
