ANTHONY <br />2 CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />3 JULY 23 2019 <br />4 <br />5 CALL TO ORDER. <br />6 <br />7 Mayor Faust called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />8 <br />9 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. <br />10 <br />11 Mayor Faust invited the Council and audience to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />12 <br />13 ROLL CALL. <br />14 <br />15 Present: Mayor Faust, Councilmembers Jenson, Randle and Stille. <br />16 Absent: Councilmember Gray <br />17 Also Present: City Manager Mark Casey, Police Sergeant Mike Huddle, Police Officer Jim South, <br />18 Police Chief Jon Mangseth, Community Service Officer Liz Villanueva, City <br />19 Engineer Justin Messner, and Liquor Operations Manager Mike Larson. <br />20 Guests: VillageFest Representative Julianne Hunter, and President/CEO Northeast Youth & <br />21 Family Services Jerry Hromtka. <br />22 <br />23 CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING <br />24 ITEMS. <br />25 <br />26 I. APPROVAL OF JULY 23, 2019 CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA. <br />27 <br />28 Motion by Councilmember Randle, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve the City <br />29 Council Meeting Agenda of July 23, 2019. <br />30 <br />31 Motion carried 4-0. <br />32 <br />33 II. PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS. <br />34 <br />35 A. Presentation of 2019 VillageFest. <br />36 <br />37 VillageFest Volunteer Representative Ms. Julianne Hunter reviewed the 2019 Schedule of <br />38 Events for VillageFest. The dates for this year's celebration are Friday, August 2 — Sunday <br />39 August 4. She reviewed some groups that will participate in the parade. Recycling will be done <br />40 by the Boy Scouts between the pop tent and the beer tent. Ms. Hunter thanked the City for <br />41 making this event happen, noting they are always looking for volunteers for the Committee. She <br />42 thanked the many sponsors for the events. <br />43 <br />44 Councilmember Stille asked Ms. Hunter how many years she has been involved and Ms. Hunter <br />45 stated she has been involved for 15 years. Councilmember Stille stated the City appreciates the <br />46 Committee and all they do. <br />47 <br />48 Mayor Faust noted this is a volunteer committee that works with donations. Mayor Faust thanked <br />49 the Committee for all of their work on behalf of the Council and the City. <br />
