ANTHONY 1 <br />CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES 2 <br />AUGUST 27, 2019 3 <br /> 4 <br />CALL TO ORDER. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Mayor Faust called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. 7 <br /> 8 <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. 9 <br /> 10 <br />Mayor Faust invited the Council and audience to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance. 11 <br /> 12 <br />ROLL CALL. 13 <br /> 14 <br />Present: Mayor Faust, Councilmembers Gray, Jenson, Randle and Stille. 15 <br />Absent: None 16 <br />Also Present: City Manager Mark Casey 17 <br />Guests: LMC Deputy Director Luke Fischer and LMC Boardmember D. Love, Parks and 18 <br />Environmental Commission Chair Erin Jordahl Redlin, Finance Director Shelly 19 <br />Rueckert, and GreenCorp Member Minette Saulog. 20 <br /> 21 <br />CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING 22 <br />ITEMS. 23 <br /> 24 <br />I. APPROVAL OF AUGUST 27, 2019 CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA. 25 <br /> 26 <br />Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve the City 27 <br />Council Meeting Agenda of August 27, 2019. 28 <br /> 29 <br />Motion carried 5-0. 30 <br /> 31 <br />II. PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS. 32 <br /> 33 <br />A. Recognition of Jerry Faust, recipient of C.C. Ludwig Award 34 <br /> 35 <br />League of Minnesota Cities Boardmember D. Love and Deputy Director Luke Fischer 36 <br />recognized Mayor Jerry Faust for receiving the C. C. Ludwig Award. Deputy Director Fischer 37 <br />described the League of Minnesota Cities (LMC) briefly. St. Anthony has received City of 38 <br />Excellence recognition for the Advanced Oxidation Water Treatment Facility. Boardmember 39 <br />Love read a statement about Mayor Faust’s past and the CC Ludwig Award, along with the 40 <br />qualities Mayor Faust possesses. A video was shown about Mayor Faust featuring City staff. 41 <br />Mr. Fischer commended City Manager Casey on his work on the LMC Board. 42 <br /> 43 <br />Mayor Faust stated he is humbled and without the support of the residents, Council, and City 44 <br />staff this would not be possible. 45 <br /> 46 <br />III.
