City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />August 27, 2019 <br />Page 5 <br />1 <br />2 Motion by Councilmember Jenson, seconded by Councilmember Randle, to approve Second <br />3 Reading of Ordinance 2019-08; an Ordinance Amending Sections 155.03, 155.21, and 155.22 of <br />4 the Sign Ordinance. <br />5 <br />6 Motion carried 5-0. <br />7 <br />8 VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. <br />9 <br />10 City Manager Casey reported that September 2 is the last day to sign up for the Police Academy. <br />11 The Police Department has a medicine drop-off box. There is a new push notification group for <br />12 the 2020 street reconstruction project. Last week, the Planning Commission recommended <br />13 approval of a 460-unit multi -family complex at the former WalMart site. He thanked Cub Foods <br />14 for providing coffee and donuts for the August 17 Coffee with the Council. <br />15 <br />16 Councilmember Stille asked about the medicine drop-off and how the City was able to do this. <br />17 Mr. Casey explained the State has created a system for easier disposal of medicines. <br />18 <br />19 Councilmember Jenson stated on August 15, he attended the Ramsey County League Meeting. <br />20 On August 17, he attended Coffee with the Council and on August 26, he attended the St. <br />21 Anthony Relief Association meeting. <br />22 <br />23 Councilmember Stille stated on August 17, he attended Coffee with the Council. He encouraged <br />24 residents to continue to meet with Council during these opportunities. On August 20, he attended <br />25 the Planning Commission meeting and on August 23, he attended the State Fair. <br />26 <br />27 Councilmember Gray attended the Coffee with the Council on August 17. He also attended the <br />28 Planning Commission meeting. <br />29 <br />30 Councilmember Randle attended the August 17 Coffee with the Council. On August 20, he also <br />31 attended the Planning Commission meeting and the State Fair on August 23. <br />32 <br />33 Mayor Faust also attended the State Fair on August 23. He met with the Lt. Governor and <br />34 Commissioner Steve Kelley. <br />35 <br />36 VIII. COMMUNITY FORUM. <br />37 <br />38 No one appeared to address the Council. <br />39 <br />40 IX. INFORMATION AND ANNOUNCEMENTS — NONE. <br />41 <br />42 X. ADJOURNMENT. <br />43 <br />44 Mayor Faust adjourned the meeting at 8:35 p.m. <br />45 <br />46 Respectfully submitted, <br />
