City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />October 22, 2019 <br />Page 3 <br />1 Councilmember Stille indicated with this grant, the School District is not new to this. The first <br />2 grant came back in 2008 when lights were needed in the park. Commissioner Stenglein knew <br />3 about the grant and helped shepherd that thru for the School District. He did not think it will be <br />4 that easy this time and stressed the importance of keeping the County Commissioners informed <br />5 and working together. <br />6 <br />7 Councilmember Randle thanked Commissioner Fernandez for also helping with this. He thought <br />8 this was long overdue for the turf for the longevity standpoint and there can be more programs at <br />9 the field as well. <br />I <br />11 Councilmember Gray echoed the sentiment. He indicated he cannot over emphasize the need for <br />12 this multi -use turf. Being a member of the sports boosters for a long time, the primary goal is to <br />13 get as much participation from the girls and boys and youth sports as possible. The fields the <br />14 City has gets plenty of use and the City is short fields right now and this will help a great deal. <br />15 <br />16 Motion carried 5-0. <br />17 <br />18 B. Approval of Capital Improvement Plan for 2020-2024 & 2025-2036. <br />19 <br />20 Finance Director Rueckert reviewed the Capital Improvement Plan for 2020-2024 & 2025-2036 <br />21 with the Council. <br />22 <br />23 Councilmember Stille thought this presentation was a lot of work and thanked Finance Director <br />24 Rueckert for all her work and thought she made it simple for the public to understand. <br />25 <br />26 Councilmember Jenson thought everything the City has purchased shows up as a line item in this <br />27 budget and show great transparency. <br />28 <br />29 Mayor Faust applauded Finance Director Rueckert on the work done on the Capital <br />30 Improvement Plan booklet and made it into a readable document for the public. He thanked <br />31 Finance Director Rueckert for all her work on this item and thought she did a stellar job on it. <br />32 He thought this put the City on a sustainable path and fits into their mission statement. <br />33 <br />34 Motion by Councilmember Randle, seconded by Councilmember Stille, to approve Capital <br />35 Improvement Plan for 2020-2024 & 2025-2036. <br />36 <br />37 Councilmember Stille indicated this is still a fluid document but something that can be <br />38 embraced, and things could still change if needed. <br />39 <br />40 Motion carried 5-0. <br />41 <br />42 C. Ordinance 2019-10 an Ordinance Amending Multiple Sections Relating to Sewer, Water, <br />43 and Stormwater Fees and other Fees. <br />44 <br />
