City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />February 11, 2020 <br />Page 5 <br />1 City Manager Casey reviewed the resolution with the Council and indicated that since 2016, St. <br />2 Anthony Village had been able to designate the ballot board responsibility to Ramsey County for <br />3 all of the City of St. Anthony's ballots, however new this year, Ramsey County will only be <br />4 accepting and rejecting for Ramsey County and the City's absentee ballot board with accepting <br />5 and rejecting for Hennepin County. <br />6 <br />7 Councilmember Jenson asked because this is a change will it be heavily advertised the fact there <br />8 is a change and will need to vote in the County lived in. City Manager Casey indicated the <br />9 resident will still be able to go to their normal precinct but when coming into City Hall to do the <br />10 pre -voting that is when it will be distinguished. <br />11 <br />12 Mayor Stille asked if there was anyone in the audience wishing to speak. No one came forward. <br />13 <br />14 Motion by Councilmember Walker, seconded by Councilmember Webster, to approve <br />15 Resolution 20-014; a Resolution Establishing an Absentee Ballot Board for the 2020 Election <br />16 Year. <br />17 <br />18 Motion carried 5-0. <br />19 <br />20 VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. <br />21 <br />22 City Manager Casey reported that the next Council meeting has been moved from Tuesday, <br />23 February 25th to Wednesday February 26th at the same time due to caucuses on February 25th. <br />24 He also noted this Saturday, February 15th is Coffee with the Council and will be held at 9:00am <br />25 at Autumn Woods. He stated periodically the City Staff and School Board Staff get together for <br />26 an opportunity to work on different things. Last Friday both groups got together and talked <br />27 about what each department does and what is happening at the schools. He thought this helps <br />28 strengthen the culture and the relationship. He thought this was a very successful outing and <br />29 helped build relationships. <br />30 <br />31 Councilmember Jenson stated he did not have anything to report. <br />32 <br />33 Councilmember Walker stated as Commissioner of North Suburban Communications <br />34 Commission and North Suburban Access Corporation he met with Dana Healy to get acquainted <br />35 over tea this past week. <br />36 <br />37 Councilmember Webster stated she had two announcements from the Chamber of Commerce as <br />38 Council Liaison. On February 12th at 10:30am there is a ribbon cutting and grand opening of <br />39 Hickory Hog, which is located in the Silver Lake Village development. The Chamber is also <br />40 seeking applications for Business of the Year and Village of the Year and are due by February <br />41 27th. She wanted to thank City Manager Casey for continuing to work with Dr. Corneille, <br />42 Superintendent, to foster those relationships and partnerships between the schools and City staff. <br />43 <br />44 Councilmember Randle indicated he did not have anything to report. <br />45 <br />
