2019 Annual Report • Public Works Department • St. Anthony Village, Minnesota <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />16 <br /> <br />ORGANICS RECYCLING DROP-OFF SITE <br />In 2018, City staff partnered with <br />Ramsey County to implement, build <br />and operate the organics recycling <br />drop-off site at no additional cost to <br />the city. This site is open 24/7 and is <br />the second of its kind in Ramsey <br />County. St. Anthony’s site will play <br />an important role in informing the <br />County’s strategy for implementing <br />future drop-off sites in surrounding <br />cities. Residents are able to pick up <br />free organics starter kits (bucket, <br />bags, and information) at City Hall <br />and free compostable bags are <br />available on site. The site dumpsters <br />are emptied weekly and are utilized frequently by local residents and visitors. <br /> <br />Looking ahead to 2020, Sustainability Initiatives include: <br /> Rain Barrel Workshop- Thursday, April 23rd <br /> Annual Spring Clean-Up Day- Saturday, May 2nd <br /> Fix-It-Clinic- Saturday, October 10th <br /> Tech Dump- Saturday, October 10th <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
