Department Divisions <br />The Public Works Department is divided into six (6) divisions: Streets, Parks, Water/Sewer, <br />Vehicle Maintenance, Engineering and City Buildings. <br />STREETS DIVISION <br /> <br />The Street Division is responsible for the repair and <br />maintenance of the City’s street and sidewalk network. <br />They are responsible for snow and ice control in the <br />winter months, as well as road maintenance repairs and <br />street sweeping during the summer months. <br />The Public Works Department also completed an annual Boulevard Tree Trimming and Removal <br />& Planting Program. A total of seven (7) trees were taken down and five (5) trees were planted <br />on City property. The tree replacements for the 2018 Street Reconstruction Project were planted <br />in the spring of 2019; 61 trees were removed and 54 new trees were planted. In 2019, the Street <br />Division conducted 19 street sweepings Citywide. <br />In the 2019-2020 winter season, there were 10 citywide plowing events.
