2019 Annual Report • Public Works Department • St. Anthony Village, Minnesota <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />VEHICLE MAINTENANCE DIVISION <br />The Vehicle Maintenance Division (Fleet Maintenance) provides the necessary vehicle <br />maintenance and repairs all the City’s Public Works vehicles and equipment, which includes <br />both licensed and non-licensed equipment. In addition, the division supports the Police and Fire <br />Department with their maintenance needs. The City’s existing Vehicle Maintenance Division <br />staff is trained and licensed to certify all vehicles in the fleet to meet DOT standards and pass <br />inspections on an annual basis. <br />The Maintenance Division assists in the purchase and specification process when replacing <br />Capital Equipment for the Public Works Department. It has always been the goal of this <br />division to provide the necessary service and repair of all City owned equipment in a manner <br />which is competitive with outside service alternatives. <br />The Public Works Capital Equipment purchases <br />included as follows: <br /> 2019 Streets Maintenance Division: Crack Sealer <br /> 2019 Streets Maintenance Division: Pickup <br />Truck <br /> 2019 Parks Maintenance Division: 20’ <br />Equipment Trailer <br /> 2019 Streets Maintenance Division: Bobcat <br />Skidsteer Replacement Program <br />PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT PROJECTS <br />Throughout the year, the Public Works Department, which includes Engineering, aids in <br />numerous projects across the community. In 2019, the Public Works Department completed the <br />following projects: <br /> Citywide Building Maintenance <br /> Annual City-Wide Clean Up Day <br /> Annual Branch Chipping Program <br /> 2019 Capital Equipment Purchases <br /> CP Holiday Train with the City of Columbia Heights <br /> Annual Employee Training to include: <br />First Aid and CPR, Personal Protective Equipment, Hazard Communication, Trenching & <br />Excavation Safety, Hearing Loss Conservation, and MS4 Program Staff Training
