City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />February 26, 2020 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />City Manager Casey stated the City Council is requested to approve the 2020 Parks & 1 <br />Environmental Commission Work Plan. 2 <br /> 3 <br />Parks & Environmental Commission Chair Bellinger made a presentation to the City Council on 4 <br />the 2020 Parks & Environmental Commission Work Plan. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Councilmember Randle asked for elaboration on the item “Explore Central Park Solar 7 <br />Demonstration Project”. 8 <br /> 9 <br />Chair Bellinger indicated that was something that the Citizens for Sustainability introduced to 10 <br />them and the Commission does not have the details yet and will be talking about it. It is going to 11 <br />be a demonstration type of solar system in the park. 12 <br /> 13 <br />City Manager Casey explained the placement where the solar array will go would be ultimately 14 <br />up to the Council. 15 <br /> 16 <br />Mayor Stille stated the City Council has heard from the Planning Commission regarding their 17 <br />work plan and now from the Parks & Environmental Commission and the City never used to 18 <br />have these workplans but this has been a good framework and sets the tone for the Commissions 19 <br />purpose. 20 <br /> 21 <br />Motion by Councilmember Webster, seconded by Councilmember Walker, to approve the 2020 22 <br />Parks & Environmental Commission Work Plan. 23 <br /> 24 <br />Motion carried 5-0. 25 <br /> 26 <br />B. Ordinance 2020-01; an Ordinance Amending Chapter 150 of the City Code Concerning 27 <br />Access to Multi-Family House Structures by United States Census Bureau Employees. 28 <br /> 29 <br />City Manager Casey reviewed the Ordinance with the Council and indicated that this is the 30 <br />second reading amending Chapter 150 of the City Code concerning access to multi-unit housing 31 <br />structures by United States Census Bureau employees. 32 <br /> 33 <br />Motion by Councilmember Webster, seconded by Councilmember Randle, to advance to the 34 <br />third reading of Ordinance 2020-01; an Ordinance Amending Chapter 150 of the City Code 35 <br />concerning access to multi-family house structures by United States Census Bureau Employees. 36 <br /> 37 <br />Motion carried 5-0. 38 <br /> 39 <br />C. 2020 Strategic Plan. 40 <br /> 41 <br />City Manager Casey reviewed the 2020 Strategic Plan with the City Council. 42 <br /> 43 <br />Councilmember Jenson stated when the City Council participated in the two-day event there was 44 <br />a lot of input from everyone that attended and participated which made for a very robust process 45 <br />that was conducted. 46 <br />11
