2019 Annual Report • Police Department • St. Anthony Village, Minnesota <br /> <br /> <br />32 | Page <br /> <br />Officer Mosby, Detective Briski, and Sgt. Huddle attended a Coffee with the Cops style event <br />hosted at Chandler Place Senior Living. The event has <br />since become a regular meeting there every other month <br />for Officers and senior residents to discuss concerns, get to <br />know one another better at a personal level, and to learn <br />from each other. <br />March: Once again, Officers participated in the COPS vs <br />Kids Basketball Event on 03/05/19. There are some officers <br />that need to work on dribbling, scoring and others skills, <br />but those officers will remain unnamed. <br /> <br />Officer Sunde and Officer Moore took part in the Cub Scout Pack <br />3153 Pinewood Derby Race. <br />Officer Sunde and Sgt. Huddle contributed to the Century College <br />Law Enforcement student mentoring program through the spring <br />semester of 2019. <br />April: Chief Mangseth and Captain Spiess participated in Students <br />in Government 2019. St. Anthony High School 11th and 12th graders <br />were provided the opportunity to discover potential government careers, <br />become acquainted with department staff and city council members, strengthen college resumes <br />and applications, and learn the day to day operations of city departments. <br />Officer Schlingman read to Wilshire Park Elementary School students during the school Read- <br />A-thon event. <br />May: Officer Sunde participated as a panel guest for the Girl Scout event “Women of Our <br />Lives” where she answered questions from audience members regarding women in non- <br />traditional career roles. <br />Chief Mangseth, Captain Spiess, and Officer Sunde attended a community conversation event <br />hosted by St. Anthony High School student group Dare2BeReal.
