As stated in red on the attached November 8, 2016 cover letter, this would generate $259,440 for a
contribution to the Community Stadium turf project of $169,440 and tiling of C2 & C3 of $90,000.
The City would need to raise the General Fund Levy and/or lower expenditures by $32,430 beginning
in 2022 to fill the void of less revenue dedicated as a source to the Community Center Fund.

On May 5, 2020, the school district adopted resolutions authorizing for the issuance of up to
$1,740,000 General Obligation Capital Facilities Bonds for the Community Stadium project.

The school district estimates the total cost of the Community Stadium turf project and tiling of C2 &
C3 ballfields to be $2,716,000. Based on those estimates, if the Council approves $259,440 assistance,
that would represent 9.6% of the total project cost or 6.5% of just the Community Stadium turf project
cost.

School Superintendent Renee Corneille and Activities Director Troy Urdahl will be available at
tonight’s meeting to answer any questions.

Attachments: November 8, 2016 City Council Cover Letter with annotation in red from 4-15-20
Amendment to Community Lease with St. Anthony-New Brighton School District #282
Community Stadium Field PowerPoint prepared by School District staff
Community Stadium Turf infographic prepared by School District staff
Central Park C2 & C3 ballfields tiling exhibit

28
