Parks and Environmental Commission Regular Meeting Minutes <br />March 9, 2020 <br />Page 6 <br /> <br />Mr. Hartman stated the ice skating season has ended. This year there were 2200 users between 1 <br />the three rinks. Ten years ago, the users were 4600. Average is 2500 – 3000 per year. A 2 <br />number of collaborations have been done with Tree Trust where 60 new trees were planted. 3 <br />City staff will be meeting with the Superintendent and Mr. Urdahl on needs and how to work 4 <br />together. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Chair Bellinger stated she and Mr. Hartman attended a strategic planning meeting together. 7 <br /> 8 <br />Ms. Palmer stated the school board will be meeting March 10, 2020. Request for Earth Day proclamation from Citizens for Sustainability 14 <br /> 15 <br /> Mr. Dan Kunitz submitted a proclamation for consideration for Earth Day. This will be 16 <br />presented to the City Council. 17 <br /> 18 <br />IX. COMMUNITY FORUM – NONE. 19 <br /> 20 <br />X.
