<br />Workplace building and ventilation protocol
<br />Operation of the building in which the workplace is located, includes necessary sanitation, assessment and
<br />maintenance of building systems including water, plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems. Facility HVAC systems
<br />are serviced, including filter changes, monthly. The maximum amount of fresh air is being brought into the
<br />workplace, air recirculation is being limited, and ventilation systems are being properly used and maintained.
<br />Workplace cleaning and disinfection protocol
<br />Regular practices of cleaning and disinfecting have been implemented, including a schedule for routine cleaning
<br />and disinfecting of work surfaces, equipment, tools and machinery, vehicles, and areas in the work environment
<br />including, but not limited to, restrooms, break rooms, lunch rooms, meeting rooms, checkout stations, and
<br />drop-off and pick-up locations. Frequent cleaning and disinfecting is being conducted of high-touch areas
<br />including, but not limited to, phones, keyboards, touch screens, controls, door handles, copy machines, credit
<br />card readers, delivery equipment, etc. City facilities will continue to be professionally cleaned and disinfected
<br />after each business day for those that serve outside visitors and once per week for facilities not regularly open
<br />to the general public. If an employee contracts COVID-19 and it is determined additional disinfecting is needed,
<br />it will be completed in accordance with CDC guidelines before staff returns to the facility.
<br />Appropriate and effective cleaning and disinfectant supplies have been purchased and are available for use in
<br />accordance with product labels, safety data sheets and manufacturer specifications, and are being used with
<br />required personal protective equipment for the product. Staff is encouraged to utilize supplied disinfectant
<br />wipes and spray to disinfect their workstations and shared equipment after use. Masks are also available, or
<br />staff are free to provide their own for use while at work if desired. If staff is unsure of proper use, they should
<br />ask their supervisor for guidance.
<br />Drop-off, pick-up and delivery practices and protocol
<br />For deliveries such as mail and small packages, items are dropped-off in a common area such as a lobby with no
<br />contact with the delivery person.
<br />For deliveries that require employee interaction, MDH and CDC guidelines will be followed, and masks worn if
<br />distancing cannot or may not be maintained during the interaction.
<br />Communications and training practices and protocol
<br />This COVID-19 Preparedness Plan was communicated via email to all staff on June 24, 2020, and any necessary
<br />training was provided. Additional communication and training will be ongoing by via MDH and CDC guidance
<br />changes and staff input. Training will be provided to all staff who did not receive the initial training and prior to
<br />initial assignment or reassignment.
<br />Instructions will be communicated to all staff, including employees, temporary staff, staffing and labor-pools,
<br />independent contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and outside technicians, and visitors on protections and
<br />protocols, including but not limited to: 1) Social distancing protocols and practices; 2) Drop-off, pick-up, delivery
