<br /> <br />In addition, a policy has been implemented to protect the privacy of staff’s health status and health information <br />in accordance with the Minnesota Data Practices Act and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act <br />(HIPPA). <br />Social distancing – Staff must be at least six-feet apart <br />Social distancing of at least six-feet will be implemented and maintained between staff and visitors in the <br />workplace through the following engineering and administrative controls: <br />• Remote working available for those able, and staggered and modified work hours to reduce the number <br />of employees in the workplace at one time, <br />• In person meetings with the public limited to only when necessary and with staggered timing <br />• Group meetings such as in person trainings and employee gatherings have been postponed <br />• Posting of provided signage for employees, visitors and customers about preventative measures <br />• Temporary protective barriers have been installed between close, open workstations <br />• Shared supplies and equipment are disinfected between uses <br />• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as masks or nonmedical cloth face coverings, gloves and <br />disinfectant for employees are provided and employees are encouraged to use the PPE. When <br />interactions may bring employees or employees and visitors closer than social distancing <br />recommendations, employees are required to wear a face mask for the duration of the interaction. <br />Worker hygiene and source controls <br />Basic infection prevention measures are being implemented at our workplaces at all times. Staff are instructed <br />to wash their hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water frequently throughout the day, but especially at <br />the beginning and end of their shift, prior to any mealtimes, and after using the restroom. All visitors to the <br />workplace have the ability to wash or sanitize their hands prior to or immediately upon entering the facility. <br />Hand-sanitizer dispensers (that use sanitizers of greater than 60% alcohol) are at entrances and locations in the <br />workplace so they can be used for hand hygiene in place of soap and water, as long as hands are not visibly <br />soiled. Hand soap, paper towels, hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, disinfectant spray, and tissues will be <br />available at multiple spots throughout the office for use by the employees. Hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes <br />will be made available for visitor use in common areas. Source controls are being implemented at our <br />workplaces at all times. Protective barriers have been installed between at appropriate locations between staff <br />and visitors. <br />Staff visitors are being instructed to cover their mouth and nose with their sleeve or a tissue when coughing or <br />sneezing, and to avoid touching their face, particularly their mouth, nose and eyes, with their hands. Staff <br />visitors are expected to dispose of tissues in provided trash receptacles, and wash or sanitize their hands <br />immediately afterward. Respiratory etiquette will be demonstrated on posters, and supported by making tissues <br />and trash receptacles available to all staff and other persons entering the workplace. These instructions will be <br />communicated via applicable provided MDH and CDC signage. <br /> <br />45
