ROLL CALL. 10 <br /> 11 <br />Commissioners Present: Chair Therese Bellinger, Commissioners Michael Guest, James Niemi, 12 <br />and Renee Reed. 13 <br /> 14 <br />Absent: Patrick Penner 15 <br /> 16 <br />Also Present: Public Works Director Jeremy Gumpke, School Board Representative 17 <br />Cassandra Palmer; School District Representative Troy Urdahl and 18 <br />Citizens for Sustainability and Friends of the Parks Lona Doolan 19 <br /> 20 <br />III. INTRODUCTION OF MEMBERS. 21 <br /> 22 <br />IV. APPROVAL OF THE JUNE 8, 2020, PARKS AND ENVIRONMENTAL 23 <br />COMMISSION MEETING AGENDA. 24 <br /> 25 <br />Motion by Commissioner Reed, seconded by Commissioner Niemi, to approve the June 8, 26 <br />2020, Parks Commission agenda. 27 <br /> 28 <br />Motion carried unanimously. 29 <br /> 30 <br />V. APPROVAL OF THE MARCH 9, 2020 REGULAR PARKS AND ENVIRONMENTAL 31 <br />COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES. 32 <br /> 33 <br />Motion by Commissioner Niemi, seconded by Commissioner Reed, to approve March 9, 2020 34 <br />Regular Parks and Environmental Commission Meeting Minutes as presented. 35 <br /> 36 <br />Motion carried unanimously. 37 <br />VI. PRESENTATIONS. 38 <br /> 39 <br />A. Central Park/Stadium Field and Turf Project Update. 40 <br /> 41 <br />Mr. Troy Urdahl, representing St. Anthony/New Brighton School District provided updates. 42 <br />The plan is to continue with Fall Sports. The Spring season was cut short. There are no 43 <br />details as to what the return to school or activities will look like. Fall Sports registration will 44 <br />begin on July 27, 2020. Updates will continue to be communicated to the community. 45 <br /> 46 <br />There is limited use of facilities as of June 1. June 15 will be the date the coaches can begin 47 <br />contacting players for weight training, conditioning, etc. A date has not been set for indoor 48 <br />sports use. 49
