2020 Annual Report • Administration • St. Anthony Village, Minnesota

9

CHECK UP FROM THE NECK UP
The City recognizes that it's most important asset is its
employees, and that the community expects all of our Public
Safety personnel to be free from physical, emotional, or mental
conditions that might adversely affect the exercise of their duties.
In 2020, The Administration Department supported the Police
Department’s efforts to implement a Check Up from the Neck Up program for all the
department’s employees. This confidential in-house program allows all department employee's
access to a qualified mental health professional specifically contracted by our agency to provide
educational support, resources, and individualized counseling. All employees are directed to
meet with the mental health professional provided by the City, or meet with an established
professional employees may already have regular visits with. This resource has also been
extended to all Fire Department personnel, and has been utilized and valued by all the City’s
Public Safety personnel.

COMPLETE COUNT COMMITTEE (CCC)
In 2020, the City supported the US Census Bureau’s
goal to have every resident accounted for during the
2020 Census. To accomplish this goal the City believed
it was important to use our residents to inform and
educate each other on what the Census was and the importance of participating. In order to
achieve our goal, the City created a volunteer resident committee that helped build awareness
and maximize participation in the 2020 Census. This committee used their social networks to
help spread the word and encourage the community to participate in the Census while
providing informative resources regarding the Census and the importance of participation.
