2020 Annual Report • Finance Department • St. Anthony Village, Minnesota <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />I. Finance Overview <br />The Finance Department administers the City of St. Anthony Village’s finance activities, <br />including the coordination and planning of all City financial information. The Department <br />provides cost effective services to the City Council, City Departments, and other governmental <br />units. In addition, the five staff members of the department provide accounting, financial and <br />utility billing services to other governmental units through shared services agreements. <br />The Finance staff supports City Council meetings and work <br />sessions throughout the year to provide financial information and <br />recommendations for Council approval. The Finance staff also <br />attends similar meetings of the governmental units served through <br />shared services agreements. <br />MISSIO N ST A TEMENT <br />Ensure that City resources and assets are managed effectively to <br />provide residents with the City services desired and to sustain the <br />City’s infrastructure for current and future residents. <br />FINANCE DEPARTMENT STAFF ING CHANGES IN 2019-2020 <br />Devin Willi, the Utility Billing Clerk joined the Finance department <br />in early 2020. Devin recently had retired from his role as the City <br />Administrator/Human Resources Director for the City of Hudson. <br />He decided to step away from his government administration role <br />and sought out a position in governmental accounting, the aspect of <br />his career that he most enjoyed. He possesses a Bachelor’s degree in <br />Public Administration from UW-Eau Claire and a Bachelor’s degree <br />in Accounting from UW-Green Bay. Devin brings with him an <br />extensive background in city operations procedures.
