City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />October 12, 2021 <br />Page 3 <br />1 <br />2 Motion by Councilmember Webster, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve Resolution <br />3 21-075 – Restricting Parking on Rankin Road for the 2022 Street and Utility Improvements. <br />4 <br />5 Motion carried 5-0. <br />6 <br />C.7 Resolution 21-076 – Accepting Plans and Specifications and Ordering Advertisement for <br />8 Bids for the Water Tower No. 1 Rehabilitation. <br />9 <br />10 City Engineer Justin Messner reviewed this resolution approves the plans and specifications and <br />11 authorizes the advertisement for bids for the Water Tower No. 1 Rehabilitation Project. Staff <br />12 anticipates opening bids on or near November 11, 2021. Bids will be reviewed for accuracy and <br />13 brought back to City Council to award the project. <br />14 <br />15 Mr. Messner stated repainting of the water tower will be necessary and the plan is to ask the <br />16 residents which of four different renderings should be used for the water tower. <br />17 <br />18 Councilmember Walker asked who will design the four renderings and Mr. Messner stated the <br />19 rendering group at WSB will prepare the renderings. There is no additional cost of repainting <br />20 with a new design. <br />21 <br />22 Motion by Councilmember Jenson, seconded by Councilmember Walker, to approve Resolution <br />23 21-076 – Accepting Plans and Specifications and Ordering Advertisement for Bids for the Water <br />24 Tower No. 1 Rehabilitation. <br />25 <br />26 Motion carried 5-0. <br />27 <br />28 VII.REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. <br />29 <br />30 City Manager Yunker had no report. <br />31 <br />32 Councilmember Walker stated he attended the Citizen Police Academy last Saturday. It was <br />33 different from the previous one that was held during COVID. <br />34 <br />35 Councilmember Jenson stated he attended the Candidates Forum sponsored by the League of <br />36 Women Voters on October 7, 2021. On October 8, he attended the Ramsey County Local <br />37 League Meeting. <br />38 <br />39 Councilmember Randle stated last Friday was homecoming at the High School. He had not seen <br />40 the community so jubilant and the stadium was packed. <br />41 <br />42 Councilmember Webster stated she attended the Candidates Forum on October 7, 2021. <br />43 <br />44 Mayor Stille asked how Tech Dump was this year. City Manager Yunker stated everything went <br />45 well. <br />46
