The next Rental Open House will be held on <br />12 November 1, 2021. Reservations for 2023 will open January 2, 2022. For up-to-date <br />13 calendars, and rental information interested people can contact <br />14 silverwoodevents@threeriversparks.org. <br />15 <br />16 The Silverwood Park Café with a full café menu is available every day 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. <br />17 They have local and organic coffee drinks, kombucha on tap and baked goods. A 50% <br />18 student discount is offered weekdays from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. The last chance for patio trivia is <br />19 September 16, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. <br />20 <br />21 The Silverwood Park Visitor Center winter hours will be 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Coming in <br />22 October: 612 Sauna Society Residency at Silverwood Park. <br />23 <br />B.24 Citizens for Sustainability Update <br />25 <br />26 Ms. Lona Doolan, 3511 Harding Street, appeared before the Commission to provide the <br />27 Citizens for Sustainability Update. A power point presentation was provided including the <br />28 Central Park Pavilion Solar Installation. Ms. Doolan provided an update stating there is a <br />29 contract with Live Wire Electrical Services. The paid invoice includes workshop for teachers. <br />30 It is currently in Excel planning phase. The request to the City is to plan to fund full <br />31 installation in 2022 Planning process. <br />32 <br />33 The CERTS Grant Opportunity meets the 2040 Comprehensive Plan Emission Goals <br />34 including City-wide CO2 emissions reduction goal of 80% (2005 baseline) and CO2 <br />35 emissions reduction goal of 100% (2005 baseline) for City facilities. The grant opportunity <br />36 criteria is a $2,000 - $5,000 grant to cover labor, minor materials and supplies. The grant is <br />37 open to nonprofit organizations and local government. This is a community-based project, <br />38 related to energy reduction. Applications are due October 8, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. The projects <br />39 run December 2021 – December 2022. The project proposal consists of a series of <br />40 community events/workshops to promote energy efficiency and conservation, renewable <br />41 energy options and electric vehicles. On the Road to Lower Emissions includes energy <br />42 efficiency workshop, MRES Tiny Solar House demonstration, Electric car and bike show, <br />43 Tour of a Passive Home and Energy Fair (solar, geothermal, energy storage). Ms. Doolan <br />44 asked if a couple of the Commissioners might be interested in pursuing these workshops. <br />45
