Page 15 <br />1.Two-way communications device <br />2.First aid kit <br />3.An approved Fire Extinguisher <br />4.Warning flashers <br />5.Warning alarms to indicate movement in reverse <br />6.Forward-facing cameras to monitor driver actions while operating trucks <br />7.Backup cameras to be used when moving in reverse <br />8.Sign on the rear of the vehicle which states “This Vehicle Makes Frequent Stops” or similar <br />language <br />9.A broom and shovel for cleaning up spills <br />10.Spill kit <br />8.3.Operating Conditions <br />Contractor vehicles shall be constructed and maintained in a manner that their contents will not <br />leak, blow away, or spill therefrom. Vehicles shall not be allowed to stand in any street, alley, or <br />another place longer than is reasonably necessary for Collections. <br />8.4.Size of Vehicle <br />Contractor vehicles shall be sized to operate and negotiate turning movements in the City’s streets <br />and alleys without causing damage to public or private property or create traffic hazards. <br />8.5.Vehicle Fluid Spills Responsibilities <br />The Contractor shall report all hydraulic fluid spills and leaks to the City and the Contractor’s <br />supervisor within one hour of occurrence. If City staff is unavailable, spills must be reported to the <br />Public Works on-call person (612-240-4931). The Contractor is responsible to clean up spills. <br />Reporting all spills and leaks to the City does not replace the state requirement for the Contractor <br />to report spills to the Minnesota Duty Officer if the spill is over five (5) gallons. <br />9.PERSONNEL REQUIREMENTS <br />9.1.Designated Supervisor <br />Contractor shall have a designated supervisor to do the following: manage its drivers and other <br />workers (e.g., helpers); interact with the City staff to address problems as they arise; meet <br />whenever it is deemed necessary by the City; interface directly with Customers when deemed <br />necessary by the City; and have continual direct communication with Contractor’s Customer service <br />staff and haulers. The designated supervisor shall also be readily available to meet or otherwise <br />communicate with the City on an as needed basis. <br />9.2.Personnel Conduct <br />1.The Contractor’s personnel will be trained both in program operations and in Customer
