New Brighton <br />4 has already supplemented services with MNSPECT, LLC, and that firm is currently handling <br />5 The Hayden construction project. Staff was approached by New Brighton to exit the agreement <br />6 on or about May 1, 2022. Staff sought proposals from <br />MNSPECT, LLC and Inspectron, Inc. and is recommending MNSPECT, LLC due to lower cost <br />and some familiarity with the City and due to already working on The Hayden project. The <br />contract has a three-year term with a 90-day notification for early termination should we find that <br />this contract does not fit the City's needs. <br />Councilmember Jenson asked if City Manager Yunker is happy with the Hayden project and Mr. <br />Yunker stated he has not heard of any issues and he is confident with them. <br />Councilmember Randle stated he believes it is a good move for the City. <br />Mayor Stille stated this could be a stop -gap. Mr. Yunker stated they are in discussions with other <br />cities but that would take a while. <br />Motion by Councilmember Randle, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve Resolution <br />22-044 — Approving a Contract with MNSPECT, LLC. To Provide Building Inspection Services. <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br />VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. <br />City Manager Yunker stated Spring Clean Up Day at Public Works from 9:00 a.m. — 12:00 noon. <br />is May 7. Residents should register on the City's website. Branch chipping will take place May <br />16 —18, 2022. <br />Councilmember Webster stated she wanted to highlight May 14, 2022 will be the Electric <br />Transportation Event and May 21, 2022 a Metro Fire Operations Training will be held. There <br />will be a North Suburban Cable Commission Meeting. <br />Councilmember Randle had no report. <br />Councilmember Jenson stated last Thursday he attended the Metro Cities Annual Meeting. <br />Councilmember Walker had no report. <br />Mayor Stille stated April 14, 2022, he was at a mixer for Mississippi Watershed Management <br />Organization. On April 18, 2022, there was a meeting with the School Board, the City and <br />Representative Fiest and Senator Kunish regarding the proposed Community Center. On April <br />
